Disaster Management, Inc. is uniquely qualified to either create or review your plan for the following reasons:

   Client Focus: All of our consulting assignments are designed specifically for the clients who engage us. We create client-specific plans from core plans that we have developed. This approach assures that our final product reflects the needs of the client and is produced in a cost-effective manner.

   Company Focus: Continuity and emergency response planning is not a sideline business for us and it goes beyond being our primary business ... it is our only business!

   Experience: Disaster Management, Inc. was inspired by a real-time experience with Hurricane Andrew. We combine technical expertise with a real disaster experience.

   Reasonable Fees:  We do not propose to rewrite existing plans (unless they are faulty) and we do not require the purchase of expensive software programs. We provide proposals with clearly defined specifications at fixed fees.

   No Maintenance Charges:  Once completed, our plans can be easily updated and maintained by management. Although there are no annual maintenance fees charged by Disaster Management, Inc., we stand ready to assist our clients with full ongoing support services.

   Independence:
Disaster Management, Inc. does not accept commissions or any form of non-disclosed compensation. We render professional advice completely independent of any outside interests.

Douglas M. Henderson, FSA, CBCP

Douglas M. Henderson, President of Disaster Management, Inc., has 20 years of experience in management with major consulting firms.  In August of 1992, Doug was the key associate of the Emergency Response Team for a consulting firm located in South Miami-Dade County.  Inspired by the real life experience with Hurricane Andrew and concerned about the general lack of emergency preparation, Doug founded Disaster Management, Inc. on September 1, 1993.

Doug has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of Arizona.  His professional credentials include FSA – Fellow, Society of Actuaries and CBCP – Certified Business Continuity Professional.  Doug is also a member of FEPA (Florida Emergency Preparedness Association), the editor of DisasterALERT!, a member of the Miami-Dade Terrorist Mitigation Committee, the author of the book Is Your Business Ready for the Next Disaster? and numerous planning templates.
